Greetings
I've been reading with interest in the FAQs and posts, the virtues of installing an auxiliary fan to aid in the cooling of my 745TI. Do to the warm climate here in sunny Honolulu my brick would get rather warm sitting in traffic with the A/C on I was told by my mechanic that due to the limited space in the radiator area I would need a fan on the slimer side. I decided to investigate the situation so I popped the hood and pulled the grill and low and behold there was a pusher type auxiliary electric fan already mounted. In the 1.5 years that I've owned this vehicle I don't ever recall hearing an electric fan cycle on or off. The fan had a factory mounted look to it, but I had been told by reliable sources that 1990's didn't have auxiliary fans. Well I hard wired the fan to test it and it worked fine, so I followed the suggestions put forth by the folks on this board and rewired it to the A/C compressor with a relay. It works great and now my car runs cooler and so do I. My real questions are, did 1990's come with auxiliary fans or do I chock this one up to Divine Intervention and is this pusher type going to provide as much cfm as a puller type mounted inboard? Thanks in advance for the response.
Aloha,
Mike H
