What's up with this thunk,thunk..... 200

Whenever the Volvo goes over a big bump, I hear this thunk, as if the rear is bottoming out or something. I also noticed the auto stick shakes back and forth. I recently replaced the rear shocks, hoping this would fix it. Does it sound like the motor mounts or is there another culprit involved? Just to add to this, I don't think the motor mounts were ever replaced.
