A silly question about the head gasket. 140-160 1972

Hello.
The question is if I could reuse my old head-gasket for a few weeks? (the old gasket is 7 months old.)
I am planning to tare down the motor for a rebuild soon. But I am going to be connecting my merc K-jet in a few days. I actually want to tare the motor down now, but I want to make sure that the K-jet can get the motor running for sure. So I am going to have to take the head off. BTW, the old gasket is 7months old. Would it be OK to reuse the old gasket for a few weeks? So I can get the motor running right, then tare it down for a complete overhaul. (compression is even on all 4's, but the 4th spark plug is always wet with oil. And for some reason, the oil pressure seems to come slow, takes a few secs on start up for the light to go off. Maybe I should get an oil pressure gauge.)
