Vacuum motor for the recirc flapper 200

Where the heck is the thing? I'm in the process of replacing the blower motor, am all the way down to the motor and still can't find it. When I push the recirc button, I hear a hissing from way back where the heater core sits and the flapper doesn't close. Do I have to keep digging until I get the heater core out to see it?
