OD Woes - Someone help us 700 1987

I am in the same boat as Lynn & Jason, please help us. Art

First, I want to thank everyone who has replied in the past. We have tried all the options suggested to no avail. Still no overdrive. The light toggles on
and off, we replaced the OD Relay, the OD Solenoid, Fluid & Filter. We do hear a click on the solenoid. We are at wits end. Is it possible that
whatever the solenoid is communicating with the transmission, is not getting through? Could the trans not be receiving the info to go into OD? How
does the solenoid work with the transmission? Can someone advise with specific information. Tomorrow I want to crawl under once again, remove the
new solenoid and see if there is something obstructing between the two. Is there anything else possible that is preventing OD? Next resort is take it to
the shop and that is always scarry! Thanks everyone for your help! Also, this is a 940 Turbo 1993 with 115,000 miles.
