205K and that's all she wrote...or is it? 200 1985

Hi all- my best friend died on friday and I don't know why. All day it was making this weird ticking sound, then all of a sudden it got real loud and then irregular and then clunk, clunk, BOOM, oil pressure light flashed, then nothing except for the dash warning lights. At 50 miles an hour on a major road in the rain during rush hour. What could be more fun? I dunno what happened- still haven't done the autopsy on it. I don't think I want to.
Anyway, here's the deal- we bought an 81 244t on saturday, and the thing came with enough parts to build another car (as long as you have a straight body to dump em in). The 81 has an 82 b21ft in it, and we got the old 81 b21ft that was burning some oil, along with a perfectly functional m46 with a non-functional overdrive unit. The engine is complete- it may be missing the wiring harness, but that's not such a big deal. All accessories were included, along with a myriad of other parts. The new car is full of usable parts. Boxes of em.
But it's not my wagon- the wagon was cool. So I'm thinking... b21ft conversion? Anyone done it? I don't think it'll be too complicated, since everything is still connected to the new(81) engine. But will it bolt directly to the AW70 tranny? Once we remove the clutch, that is? I don't really want to be bothered with converting an automatic to a standard, even if stick shift is WAY more fun. This is the main area of concern- the engine will run just fine, though I guess the turbo may or may not be on its way out. But an engine's an engine, right? I'm hoping to breathe some new life into the car- I don't want to send it to the junkyard, and I don't think my landlord would approve of me giving it a proper funeral and burial in the backyard. If anyone has done this successfully I would love to hear from you.
Oh, and please don't post about parts you might want or need- if you need to you can email me directly about that. We're not sure of exactly what we have anyway cause there's just soooo much stuff. Perhaps one day I'll post an ad in the classifieds, but for now I just want my car back! Thanks for any help guys.
