Weird Noise during 2nd/3rd gear shifting 200

I have a 1991 Volvo 240, manual transmission. Whenever I shift from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd, I hear a "winding" down noise immediately after I land in the destination gear (as I am releasing the clutch). Any ideas of what this can be?
