lighting options for 940turbo 900 1994

Hey guys,
I have the foglight headlight combo on my 940 turbo sedan (1994). Are there any upgrades for these headlights, becuase fankly they suck. When I was driving between florida and chicago I felt really uneasy at night driving fast. I never noticed in Chicago because it's so well lighted that you can drive without headlights. Am I stuck, will I have to get some HID aftermarket units ? help guys.
