1986 740 How do i test the fuel pressure regulator? I think mine might be bad. The reasons being, the car bogs when i mash the throttle sometimes, and the car stalls when i come to a fast stop. What else could that be? I have also been having inconsistant idle. Sometimes its near 1100rpm other times its 750. The car would only idle at 1100 for a while, after i did a long distance, high speed run, the idle went back down. I serviced my cone filter a while back (cleaned, oiled) and i had lack of power probs after that. Some import guy told me i fried my AMM because i put to much oil on the filter and the oil coated the wires in the AMM. Any truth in that? I have had a VX cam for over a year now, but the problems are recent. I have cleaned the TB recently, serviced the injectors Sooo... occasional fast idle, bogging (espescially off the line), stalling when i brake fast (stopping), what is wrong? AMM, fuel pres reg., 02 sensor, ?
