Hi all. I just bought a 1976 262 GL Volvo and nothing was working on this car. No fuel, no spark, no power to the center counsle. I have fixed everything but the "no spark" issue. I tested the coil and it is good. 12V at coil with key on AND computer at wheel well UNPLUGGED. But when the wire harness is reconnected to the computer, the voltage drops to around 4 Volts. The former owner replaced the distributor cap as well as the spark plug wires. I checked out the computer and couldn't find anything cooked or burnt. What could the problem be here? No fuses are blown or blow when cranking over engine. Is there any way to determine if its the computer or the impulse sender? Any possible tests to perform?
Thanks for any help
Adrian
