In midst of sway bar install -> need advice 200

Greetings,

I'm in the midst of installing rear sway bars from a 240 turbo sedan on my '81 GLE wagon...

I'm not sure how to install the brackets for the rearmost bolt on each side (the car didn't have any to begin with).

I looked in my Haynes 240 repair and it looks like the open end of the bracket goes down towards the road and the curved tabs at the top of the bracket (the end with only a hole through it) curve in towards the driveshaft. That being said, the tabs at the bottom (the open end) appear to curve out towards the wheels.

Hopefully this made some sense.

Am I correct if I install them according to the description above???

Thanks in advance,

Jaak

--> my computer keyboard isn't too happy with my semi-greasy hands right now! ;)
