On to the next project, Getting my Overdrive to work!

91 740T with auto (AW71 L? I think)
I loked at the FAQ and beat on the solenoid (behind the fuse panel) today. No change! Next I crawled under the car and with the key on but the motor not running checked for 12 V at the plug under the car, had it! Then felt the transmission solenoid while the switch was being toggled on and off, heard no click felt no click.

I would like to pull the solenoid and check/clean it outside of the transmission . How is it sealed? O rings, Gasket, what? I don't want to be left with a leak.

Any good source for replacements? Salvage VS new?
