replacing Pierburg CBV with Bosch unit... how? 700

So I'm sitting here looking at the picture of the Bosch Overrun Cutoff Valve (part # 0 280 142 103) that I've been told I should use to replace my existing CBV (picture below). Mine has been causing some hiccups (I think) when going from boost to vacuum to boost. At 220k I figure it's good preventative maintenance.

Anyway, I'm wondering how the Bosch unit fits into the plumbing of my 1985 745t. It looks like the Bosch has the three pipes (two large, one vacuum to the int. manifold) just like the Pierburg unit, but it is MUCH smaller, and lacks the entire bell type thingee on the top of the Pierburg.

Do I need to fit the two units together in some way, savinbg part of the pierburg to use with the Bosch? Is it just a straight swap, removing both "parts" of the Pierburg (bell hosing and lower valve chamber) with the Bosch unit? Is there a recommended way to afix the Bosch unit so it isn't just dangling free by the fan (seems to lack holes for the existing screws)? How do I afix the Bosch's unit to the flat diamond connection point where the Pierburb matches up (the point the gasket goes between)?

Thanks in advance for any help, really appreciate it.
