Calling all Suspension Gurus 700

Hello Bricksters,

I have been changing out the suspension parts on my 1989 744GL with other components (mostly off of turbos from the wreckers - I am too cheap to buy the real stuff from IPD). See questions below:

History:

1) Replaced struts with KYB GR2 inserts and Gas-a-just rear shocks
2) Put in the 21mm Turbo front S-bar
3) Stock springs front & rear.

Contemplating:

1) Installing turbo rear 19mm S-bar
2) Installing Rear Springs from 1984 760 TURBO SEDAN

Questions:

The springs off of the turbo look different then mine (is it true that the springs are progressive on the turbo or am I imagining a changing gap width from top to bottom of the spring)?

Would it be better to use springs off of a wagon instead (overload variety)?

Finally, are the front springs off of a turbo different than the non turbos and if so do I need to change this out as well considering my current set up (with the spring and rear bar upgrade)?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

Tim
