backfiring.....help! 700

Well, I have a 760GLE turbo, and occassionally I'll give it gas and my boost gauge goes up, but the rpm's either stay put or drop and the car reduces its speed while I'm on the gas. It eventually begins to backfire like there is no fuel reaching the engine. Please, any info would be greatly appreciated.
