AMSOIL--SYNTHETICS--QUESTION--'JELLEY'????

Although I have not changed to synthetics---yet----and I am considering it--Amsoil in particular, (I have heard 99.999% good stuff about Amsoil)--I heard ONE little (?) thing I need opinions about--I have heard synthetics actually can turn to a "jelly" like substance under some circumstances and actually totally ruin your engine--anyone heard this? What about Amsoil in particular? Comments? Thanks.
