760 GLE 2.8L. V6 bad hole 700 1986

OK here's what happened, can't explain why. I drive 86 miles one way to work. So, one monday morning I left to go to work and the car ran fine went to lunch car still running good. Started the car to go home and that's when it happened, felt like some one hade lifted the hood and pulled a plug wire off. No noise no smoke nothing just missing bad. So I looked and checked all the wires and found nothing, drove home 86 miles. (I know not the best thing to do but had no choice.) So let the car sit tell the weekend and did a compression test. All holes were from 140-155 but one hole the big old fat ( 0 ) nothing checked it 3 times nothing. So I have an adapter that I use to put air in the cylinder to keep the valves closed to remove springs so the valves don't drop. Well with the air I listened for leaking through the int. side and nothing, listened at the tail pipe and air was coming out. So Im thinking bent ext. valve or cracked valve.
But my question is how could this happen just like that, running fine turned it off then wait 4 hours and start it up and missing, bad hole. So if any one could give me something to try or if any one ran in to something like this in the past HELP!!!
With my time if its a crack or bent valve I would rather just put a used head on. Question is where do you find one in the State of Washington.

Pleas help me!
Rick
