Puff of smoke when the turbo is engaged 900 1991

Hi everyone - Great form, great info available here, I have a 1991 940SE Turbo, 275 000kms,great car in fantastic condition. Recently I have noticed that when I am on the highway going about 120kmh and need that extra passing punch and kick in the turbo there is a puff of smoke coming from the exaust. It exists as long as the turbo is in use and does not happen all of the time. Any ideas of what is causing this?
