Recommended repair manual for '89 740 700

Looking for advice for picking up a repair manual. The Chilton's 70-89 manual has received poor reviews due to the broad scope. That leaves the Haynes manual. The only one I could find that includes the '89 740 is the UK version. Is this sufficient for a US car? Are there differences between UK and US cars?
