Ok,here we go. My 1990 240dl has developed a strange sound in the engine compartment. It sound like it has a diesel engine in it! All the belts are new,the heat shields are ok,recently tack welded.It sound like the noise is coming from yhe water pump,maybe? The car does not over heat and does not leak antifrezee. Is there a bearing in the pump that might be failing that is making all that racket.Anyone had the same problem? thanks in advance.
