OEM Rotors vs. Aftermarket 900 1997

I have heard that aftermarket rotors such as Brembo or Zimmerman are not "balanced", but OEM rotors are. Is this true, and does it even matter?
I was hoping to replace my rotors with some Brembos (less expensive) but a friend of mine claims that non-OEM rotors are unbalanced and that I should not but them.
