How much oil will come out of the overdrive when I take it off? 200 1984

I am just getting ready to do the dreaded piston seals on my overdrive so I am wondering how much oil is going to gush out on top of me when I separate it from the gearbox. I doesn't look like the overdrive will drain if I drain the gearbox. Is this right or will they both drain? Any other hints on doing this would really be appreciated.
