Hello evey one. I have a question for y'all. What are the signs of a fuel pump going out in a 1980 242 DL w/mechanical fuel injection? Since about May or June, my car will not sart on the first try while it's cold. I'm hearing my injectors working(buzzing) and then another noise (almost like a viberating but acording to Chiltons it should be doing that). Anyways, what all could be causing the car not to start when it's cold. I know I have new fuel pressure, and I laso don't have any fuel leaks. I've been over the car with a fine tooh comb about twice. I found a new exhaust leak on the second go round but nothing in the fuel system. But I need this 242 to be running. I'm getting sick and tired of driving a 1997 Ford Expedition. I miss my sporty 242.
Any help would be great.
