242 wont' start 200 1980

1980 4 cylinder 242 with 265k miles won't start. Fuel pump works, battery is fine, gas in tank, fuses ok. Car tries to start, then dies immediately. Timing ok at 8' BTDC. Idle speed 750 rpm (perfect). What am I missing here?
