I am looking at a 1989 240 with 53,000 miles on it. I took it to my mechanic and the car is in tip top shape mechanically. New tuneup was confirmed as well as all new filters and a new timing belt. Although the mileage could not be confirmed my mechanic indicated that the mileage appeared accurate based on the mechanical condition of the car. The car is selling for 3,000. and would need about 1,000 in body work to get it in tip top condition. Does 4,000 in total seem reasonable. It is a 5 speed. Thanks for your advice. Mike
