120 watt amp run 500+ sub??? 200

i just bought a good 500+ plus amp (the sticker says handles 500+ watts). will a good name 120 watt amp run this without blowing??? please help. i currently have my back speakers on this amp and they sound amazing. note speakers cd and wire are all new not the original. Thanks for sugestions..
