Tips for drilling out broken bleeder valve - tap size? 200 1982

Well, thanks to all who responded to my previous post:

"Tips for removing bleeder valve"

I had been soaking with PB for days. I tapped the face of the valve with a ball peen hammer for a few minutes, applied some more PB, then used a 6 point socket to carefully try and break it loose. No luck.

I guess tonight I will pull the caliper attack that broken valve with some cobalt drill bits.

It looks like a 6mm tap. Can anyone confirm this? I took care of a broken exhaust manifold stud in my 700 a few years ago via increasing drill sizes... this brass bleeder valve shouldnt be too much trouble... right?

Any other tips?

Matt
