Hello everyone,
I could use some help. I got home tonight and shut my 740GL off...No big deal. After sitting about 5 hours I went out and it wouldn't start. Cranks away but it doesn't catch. It's been runnin alittle rough and figured it needed an injector cleaning. I replaced the fuel pump 14 months ago.
I checked the spark, small but it's there. I hear the fuel pump powerin up, so I tested the pressure...It blew the hose off the line a couple of times. The regulator appears to be working because when I cranked it it filled a container.
I did notice that I only have pressure when you 1st turn the key or when you crank it...Not with just the key on after the initial gush of fuel.
Anyway...Would anyone know why my car won't start. For the record...It's a 1990, 740GL with a Regina system, 1 fuel pump and a VERY expensive coil.
Any ideas would be appreciated...Thanks
