I have a '91 940 Turbo w/193,000 miles. The car really runs great when rolling (i.e. use of accelerator), but it idles pretty rough *AND* it has just started to shut off unpredicatably on the road. I don't mind a rough idle, but I think I should attend to the second problem and I suspect they may be connected. My hunch is that I may have a vacuum leak/manifold leak that may, over time, create enough of an imbalance in the fuel/air mixture that the engine sort of chokes. The car always restarts immediately (I have quickly become adept at throwing into neutral, rekeying ignition, reengaging gear, and moving on as if nothing has happened). I think that whatever imbalance builds up over time is quickly displaced in the restart. Anybody have some thoughts as to what my problem might be? I loathe taking it back to the mechanic (just spent mucho moola two weeks ago on unrelated maintenance issues). Many thanks, Quint
