The reason that I am so excited about this is that I have been chasing this problem for over a year, and had ruled out the AMM because of a post I saw a while ago, where a boardmember had the same annoying problem that I had, the car would start-stall-start-stall, then run like crap for a couple hundred yards then clear out and run alright. This member had replaced all the obvious stuff checked for vacuum leaks tune up,replaced the Air mass meter etc. and the car still did the same thing that mine was doing, so I hadn't tried the AMM because of that post. Well, what was just an annoyance before turned into an emergency today, when it wouldn't even start. I swapped out AMM with one from my sons 244 (same part #) and it started right up and ran normal, even had descent pickup again. So, luckily I had a spare at my brothers lot where I have 2 parts cars, but rebuilt they are 170.00- 180.00, used 70.00-.80.00. Does anyone know of a way to test the AMM, before shelling out all the coin for a part that may not be bad?
