leaking twin fuel tank 700

Hi all

The 86 760 I own has two fuel (one under the car and one in the boot) I removed the in boot tank and the intank pump from the under car tank to check the intank pump rubber hose and replaced what need to be replaced and put it all back together the problem is when. I fill the fuel tanks up (a full tank) fuel leaks out around the opening of the under car tank but this stop a short time later is this normal. I have checked that the big ring nut that holds the intank pump and sender unit in the tank and it is tight
