control arm ball joint removal 200 1987

I am replacing all my bushings tie rod ends and ball joints, i have a 12 ton press and no experience with it. Any tips with removal of ball joint from removed mount, and safety and easiest methods for the different bushings and how about th $10 trailing arm tool. Thanks
