Hi all,
Here's my current dilemma. I am currently running the stock 15-inch Volvo rims with 205/60/15 yoko avis turing tires. I like them, they're good for cruising, no problems with them in the snow (I'm in Chicago), basically I just check pressure once a month and go. Now I just purchased a set of 16 x 7.5-inch Concord rims for "summer" use. Maybe I'm just not mature enough yet to wait (I'm 25 and married supposed to be mature ;) but I'm considering using the 16 inch rims all year round. I searched the tire racks site, as well as a few google searches and it seams like the Sumitomo HTR+ (considering 225/ 50/16) is a pretty decent tire in the snow, while offering pretty good performance when dry. I'm not convinced that living in Chicago that I need a dedicated snow tire, Daley does a good job cleaning the streets, and I don't drive during the week, I use good ole CTA. Am I letting my leftover exuberance from my teens carry over to this decision? What do you guys think?
Michael
BTW this is on my 1994 940 Turbo sedan.
