Car alarm for my stereo stuff 700 1986

Hello,
I have a 1986 745 gle with manual transmission and some stereo equipment in the back that is a little obvious due to size and I'm afraid someone would just break the window and pull my 2x12's and 2x8's, not to mention the amps if they could find them in the spare tire well. So, I'm in the market for a car alarm. I want to spend about $170 or so. I also want the 2-way lcd transmitter so that I'll know when someone is breaking into my car because I won't hear it and people will just ignore an alarm in my area. It would be just dandy to have the remote start for manual trannies (but wouldn't the ones for automatic work if i just left it in neutral?!?) but not necessary. I'm not concerned about brand names. I've been looking on ebay for an alarm. There are a lot within my price range, how do I distinguish among them? Anyone have any experience with any alarms on ebay? Here is the ebay listing for alarm+lcd. What do I need to consider in a car alarm for my car?

PS Please don't tell me my old car isn't worth buying an alarm for. I plan on having this car for as long as possible.
