All of my turn signal lights work, but they do not "flash". When I put on my left or my right signal, the lights on the appropriate side simply stay lit. My hazards also will not come on when I flip the switch. I went to NAPA and got a replacement part; I asked for a flasher fuse replacement. Now I am not sure if I was given the wrong replacement part or if I just haven't found the proper location of the flasher solenoid. The part I was sold is about 1/2 of an inch taller than the other box-style fuses in the engine fuse panel. It also only has two prongs located at 90 degrees to one another while all of the larger fuses in the box have 4 prongs. The larger fuses that are already in place are black with the letter "J" on them or are yellow and are about 3/4" squared. I have checked all the smaller fuses and they are intact. I have tried the larger fuses on the driver side in the engine compartment and in the fuse panel in the car on the drivers side. Do I have the wrong part or am I looking in the wrong place? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!
By the way, I am glad I stumbled across this site! Now I can take a hack at fixing my Volvo so I can pay the mechanic to fix my mistakes as well as the original problem!
