removing tie rods on 122 120-130 1964

I'm scrapping a 1964 122 wagon. I'm trying to salvage as many parts as possible. I'm trying to get the tie rods off. a big hammer didnt work. the puller a I had wasnt the right size. Are there any helpful hints for removal?
"just get a better hammer"?
I've unbolted the entire front suspension.
Anyone in Austin tx need/want a drum brake front end?(free)
