No 'click, click' from Throttle Position Sensor after cleaning. 200 1983

Was cleaning out the throttle body a la IPD instructions...removed the throttle body from the intake manifold, then removed the TPS from the body prior to using TB cleaner. Some brown oil ran out from the TPS and I caught it on a rag. Then I used Electrical Contact Cleaner to clear out the oil from inside the TPS. After re-installing the TPS as per IPD instructions, and adjusting it..no click when the butterfly opens or closes. Is this TPS toast?
Should I buy a new one and be done with it? Or any way to make this one click again?
GIA,
