Hello. While checking the fluids in my 244 I noticed that there is a deep crack in the rubber part visible at the top of the strut mount. It's about 1 inch long and is forming in a curve about 1/2 inch from the grommet that covers the center nut. My question is: is that rubber part of the mount the only thing supporting the top of the strut? If that's the case then this must be a very dangerous situation. I won't drive the car until I know for sure what's going on.
