Performance Exhaust Options for a 244 200 1992

Ok gang,
I'm sure this question has been asked numerous times but I'll ask it again: I'm looking to replace my 244 stock exhaust with something more powerful (delivering more horsepower) and somewhat more sporty. I know IPD has a 2-1/4" high-flow sport exhaust for the non-turbo's but it still has that S-end pipe instead of a straight chrome tip and it isn't stainless steel. I was looking at Sam Steffansson's 240 option but it has a front and rear muffler. Can any of the turbo 2.5" or 3" systems be modified from the cat-back to fit a non-turbo, or would a high-performance exhaust from Midas or a similiar place work just as well? Thanks!
