960 Oil Question 900 1995

I have been using Castrol GTX in my 1995 960 and it now has about 83,000 miles on it. Is is safe to switch to a synthetic now (Syntec) or should I go for a Synthetic Blend? My engine runs perfectly now and doesn't burn a drop of oil as far I know. Thanks for all your help in advance.
