CD changer wiring question 700

Hi all,

I'm just about to install my Alpine changer in my '90 744 GL. I'm going to install it under the parcel shelf and I have a Volvo radio. Two questions I have -

1). The VOLALP adaptor has a yellow wire, which is for constant 12V power I presume. Any idea where I should wire this to which allows it to get constant 12V power?

2). What's the best route for the changer cable to run from the head unit to the trunk? Beside the drive shaft tunnel? Or under the plastic trim along the left doors? How did Volvo's factory changer cable for pre-wired 940 / 960's run?
