continueing saga of the 84 that wont idle. chapter 3 fuel tank 200 1984

By the time I got home I had time to pop up the back floorboard (wagon), pull the deck cover plate and take an old paint brush and clean the "dust" off the access/pump mounting plate. I hosed it with WD-40 and cleaned with a rag. Then
hosed some more to let sit overnight as it doesnt want to budge! hopefully
the WD will penetrate and free it up.
Question becomes... I see 3 metal hoses coming out of the cap/plate. Looking
down from the back of the car the left one is not clamped on (return?). The middle one has a hose clamp (delivery line?) and the third metal line just has a short
chunk of hose on it like there was a hose on it at one time. Ideas? Opinions?
Also now that I have the access plate up I see which wire is ground. Which leaves 2 wires to ponder.. one is for the sender unit and the other is for the pump. My
cheap chiltons doesnt define which one is which. Anyone know?
ALSO... the fuel delivery line just runs through the body down to the external pump.. or so it appears. If I replace that line do I just unclamp and pull it out
from under the car or is there a Viking trap waiting for me?

TIA!
