Larger Throttle Body 700 1986

I am considering replacing the stock throttle body in my 86 740 turbo with the 59mm model from MVP. The claim is not for additional horsepower but for better throttle response (torque) because it flows 18% more air.

Claims are one thing, real-world experience is another. Does anyone have any experience with this product? If it is good, what else should I do (rising rate fuel pressure regulator, larger injectors, etc.)?
