Motor swap - 740 in a 242????? Help! 200 1980

Hi there Bricksters, I need some info. fast. I have a 1980 242 DL that has a blown B21f motor in it. There is a free strong running motor available to me(I didn't get what year, but its newer than mine)which is a 740 and the motor is a B30....not sure which one exatly either. Is there a hope in @*&# that I can put this 740 in my 242??? We can work out the kinks, just want to know if it is a definate "yes it will work" or "No way lady, you're SOL". I really apppreciate your help!!!!!!!!Thank you!!!!!!
