front cam seal repair. 200

is there anyway to do a short term fix on the front cam seal to seal it better and slow oil leakage instead of going through the labor and replacing the gasket?

I have about a 1" break on my b230f.
or, can anyone provide detailed instructions on how to replace it with a new one. i need to fix this before i sell the car.
