I am trying to help a co-worker who has a problem with shifting their 1992 240 out of park on cold mornings(automatic trans). The problem doesn't occur when the ambient temperature is warm. If she waits a few min with the car running, or, if she engages the overdrive the problem clears up and she can shift from park to drive. The dealer had it for a day and replaced a part for $270 plus $75 labor and the problem occurred again the next morning. They said they checked fuses and connections. Any ideas? Could it be a bad ground?
