Notchy 'pop' when I take a right and am moving, ball joint? 200 1992

All,

My wife's '92 makes a pop sort of sound that is more felt than it is heard. I'm thinking that it could be a ball joint, or maybe like a steering arm that is rubbing over another memeber. I jacked the car up and tried to move the wheel in order to detect any play but found none. Happens when you turn right and are moving can't get it to do it when car is stationary. Any insight?
