Heater Valve Replacement 900

I'm replacing my heater valve as a preventive measure. Looking on-line, my supplier has one that is all plastic (identical to the original) for $55. They also offer one (made by "4-Seasons") that's part plastic and part metal for only $14.
Anyone have any experience with the latter?

Thanks in advance.
