do they make gasoline-friendly electrical wire??? 700 1988

The ground wire in my fuel pump sending unit is bad and I need to replace it... Can I use regular wire or is there a special gasoline-friendly wire to use??

it seems like the gas will break down the wire... maybe I'm wrong.

Anyone?
