Greetings:

I have a slight problem with my radiator. It is a metal one and is in very good condition! Of course with exception to a very small squared peice of thin sheet metal (patch). It appears that it may have been welded onto a small area on the upper side of the (driver's side)tank. It is on the otherside from the hose/line connections. It has a very slight seeping of coolant. I have not lost any pressure and or overheated at all. About every 1,200-1,500 miles i add a bout 4-6oz of Texaco ELC to the coolant reservoir. It seems as though this metal radiator came from another different Volvo, because where the area of the patch appears to have once had an inlet hoses or something (just a guess)? I mean would i be able to just take it to a radiator specialist and have them fix it, or would i be better off picking up another radiator, metal of course? I applied a small amount of super glue around the outer edges of this metal patch. What is the costs/time factor of another radiator install including the do's and don'ts? One other thing i ahve 2 fans, one mechanical and one electrical (just inside the front grill area), however i never heard it circulate, might it be a fuse and or sensor issue? Again i have never ever had any over heating issues and this car has been truely cared for with the best parts and maintenace supplies. Thanks in advance for your help!
